HUNGaMA ( Hunger and Malnutrition )

On a occasion of World Hunger day I’d like to reboot the Indian inside, A nation where population is just another number, we ought to celebrate with the day with pride. We being top of the of the table in terms of population, inevitably hold the maximum ratio in Hunger too.1/3rd of the Worlds hungry population live in India..Claps!!! Let me explain the sarcasm behind it, a recent news on grains rotten in a storage in Punjab made me sick, Around 4 lakh quintals of wheat has rotten completely, India’s food grain production may be at an all time high this year with numbers likely to touch 250 million tones but what’s the use of it where 23 crore people go hungry everyday. Among 150,000 people who die in a day 7000 of them die out of hunger, its not visible to us since we all live in luxurious apartments, brand cars, pizzas and KFCs .So On behalf of  50th year celebration of world hunger day let us take a small step against this HUNGaMA (Hunger and Malnutrition).
Lets see these two instances , when I was in hostel there was a quote written in hostel mess ‘A morsel saved is a Life Saved’ we saw that daily but never gave importance to it and wasted food If it wasn’t tasty, but time arrived to realize the fact that over 20 crores sleep hungry every night..i didn’t repeat the mistake. Another impressive hoarding which is put up in my office cafeteria, which shows amount of food, wasted in kgs the past day and how many hungry people it would serve. Simple but so effective, which makes us think twice before wasting any food on the plate. Taking help of these two instances we can figure out our own way of serving the cause. Even you know that its utter waste of time thinking about what the so called gov’t is doing to eradicate these. The fact is they are so busy attending jails and court sessions than attending a parliament session.
As our Indian Constitution says ‘We the People of India’ means it’s just us... who can change some unhealthy happenings of the nation, its time to stop relying on those crorepati ministers. Serving people is serving nation, there’s no need to put down extra hours in order to do something good useful to the country. Just give a thought about this while having your food next time, else it wouldn’t enter our busy brains. Nonetheless water is precious too don’t even think about wasting it.
